  Re: New 12 hr clock

Looking good Amnon. Those big gears really helped your design. Ready for a grandfather case. I like the precision shim under the base<grin>. -- Bob Fay California, USA rfay@we.mediaone.net (URL) (24 years ago, 22-Jan-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Panzer III Tank (WWII)

Hi Shaun, I should have dropped a note earlier, but I will take the opportunity now. This is really an impressive model, with lots of details both inside and out. It is far afield of what I normally build(castle), but I love it anyway. :-) I'm (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jan-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

  Re: Panzer III Tank (WWII)

Ooh, thank you! I know very little about raytracing or computer graphics - so far, I've been a bit of a minimalist when it comes to this aspect. My grand accomplishment in making the renderings so far was figuring out how to get multiple light (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jan-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

  Re: Panzer III Tank (WWII)

(...) Cool, thanks! I like the way the interior looks just as detailed and realistic as the exterior. Certainly a well done modeling effort. The tank looks very playable to me. BTW, if you want to improve the quality of the renderings, you can (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jan-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

  Re: Panzer III Tank (WWII)

Hi Fredrik, I put up a couple more renderings this weekend. They show how the turret pulls straight out, and I made a rendering of the inside of the driver/radioman's area to give an idea of the internal space. Hope that answers your question ... ;) (...)   Re: Panzer III Tank (WWII)

Hi Jake, Yup, I do. The turret lifts straight out, and the cupola pulls off for easy access to the interior. I actually have more equipment stacked on the rear of the real thing - some chains, a mortar, and more tools, for example. I also have more (...)   Re: Panzer III Tank (WWII)

Hi Jake, Gary hit the nail on the head - I picked up my treads through LEGO Pitsco Dacta. I think it's 36 links for $6.50, or something like that. The Panzer III took 59 links per side, though if I remember correctly Carl Geatrix's (sp?) tanks took (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jan-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

Xposted back to .build since it's a building question.... (...) That there is Wayne Hussey's bridge to the Starship Enterprise. "NCC1701 No Bloody A, B, C or D." The center floor is actually a large gray baseplate inverted with the bridge sitting on (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jan-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Teaser Pic

If I may make a suggestion: Put some detail on the arms so they don't look too straight and square. Nice head and torso, however. :^) ~Mark "Muffin Head" Sandlin (24 years ago, 22-Jan-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Ancient Building Theme Contest Entry #1

Hi all you Ancient theme lovers. I'm uploading my first (and not my only) entry for this iteration of the contest. I hope you like my interpretation of the Colossus of Rhodes. I'm putting them up on Brickshelf. Here's the URL: (URL) I know that the (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jan-01, to lugnet.build.contests)
