  Re: Panzer III Tank (WWII)

I like the way the treads hang along a curved line between the upper wheels. Did you use a mathematical model to place the tread link elements? Or was this done by trial and error? The model looks very nice! Does it have any internal space for (...) (24 years ago, 18-Jan-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

Re: Fanciful LEGO train speculation (the German answer..)

(...) Ben, you've struck a chord with me. When I was a child, playing with LEGO (the late 1970's) I never did connect violence with LEGO. Now when I hear young kids playing with the stuff, interest is quickly lost if they can't add guns or missiles (...) (24 years ago, 18-Jan-01, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.general, lugnet.build)

  Panzer III Tank (WWII)

Hi All, A couple of weeks ago I finished my German WWII Panzer III tank. Since I don't have a digitial camera, the best I could do for now is LDraw it and put up some renderings, along with some source photos I used ... hopefully I'll get some (...)   Re: Force, strenght, did anyone ever measure?

I've never measured it, but if someone can find a value for the elastic modulus of ABS it'd be easy to calculate a rough estimate of how much the force the teeth can take. -Xanthra47 "Duq" <Duq@nlgateway.net> wrote in message (...) (24 years ago, 18-Jan-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic)

If you can, use a worm to drive the rack; you'll be better off. It'll take more load and if some of the other stages in your gear train break or slip (You'll want to have a belt stage in there somewhere so you won't break things anyway), the rack (...)
