  New Mecha @ Moonbase Io (1/17/01)
 
After experimenting with the new ball joints found in the Technic C3-P0 and Stormtrooper sets, I've come up with a new mecha. I am proud to introduce the Samson Heavy Assult Mecha. Cool! That's an impressive machine! I was actually thinking about using 2x2 8t gears, but I don't have the room in my model (And I've run out of racks too). Encouraging anyway, I'll do some testing this weekend (and probably post a picture of the (...) (24 years ago, 17-Jan-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic)

My model (link below) uses elevators with a double rack and double drive axles (four z8 pinions). I have tested it with a payload of 36lbs (more than enough for a complete scale-size Saturn V). By my calculations, thats 40N per elevator. The rubber (...) (24 years ago, 17-Jan-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic)

(...) I suppose the only real way would be to keep a logbook of actual time building and tinkering. As some have pointed out though, the time you spend thinking about the model is far harder to quantify. Saying that, keeping a log book in this (...) (24 years ago, 17-Jan-01, to lugnet.build)
