My new (actually really old) MOC: Gate to Sidon

Well, after finally deciding to take pictures of this after watching it sit around for about 7 months, I managed to tie it into my story line and make a pretty cool teaser. So here it is, The Gate to Sidon: (URL) (24 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build) !

  Re: what is a mecha?

(...) My personal favorite example is Robotech (maybe because I'm so far behind in anime). The mecha in that series is transformable and usually piloted by humanoids.   Re: what is a mecha?

(...) What is a Mecha? As far as I can figure out, a Mecha is a Mechwarrior. Two examples: A: Play Mechwarrior. B: Imagine a ship's cockpit with legs and sometimes arms stuck on. :) That is a Mecha. -- Mark Nelson (24 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: what is a mecha?

(...) "Mecha" is the Japanese term for mechanical vehicles. It is usually used in reference to large robots, usually featured in animation. Visit (URL) for many examples. HTH ~Mark "Muffin Head" Sandlin (24 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

  what is a mecha?

Re: Some aqua la vida loca

The mecha is pretty cool, but that sub rocks! Your use of the round 4x4's as weapon mounts is great. The front ducted intakes are a very nice touch as well. Too bad you don't have a few more shots of it- it looks like you have a bunch of hatches (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.aquazone, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: NEW MECHA!!!

(...) I took every one of my grey parts, I would only have a few hundred small bricks to build with.   Re: NEW MECHA!!!

  Re: Natural History Museum

I thought about doing castles and pirates, but that was really stretching the "natural history" concept a little two far towards "museum of man."   Re: NEW MECHA!!!

Holy crow, that's complex! Love the Blacktron and classic space colour schemes too. Very manacing, and extremely Japanese Anime looking (that's a good thing).
