The blocks Frank Lloyd Wright is talking about are Froebel kindergarten blocks and the time period is the 1870s. You can see some modern ones at this site: (URL) check out everything available today at (store) (URL) also have the "Froebel Gift" (...) (23 years ago, 9-Apr-02, to lugnet.books)
