  Re: Classic Christmas set?

(...) Okay, I must've been overwhelmed by the Pokemon fumes or something; set 1276, the LEGO(TM) Advent Calendar. 24 LEGO prizes, for US$12.99. The Cheese, who wishes there were toy stores without screaming chilren. (25 years ago, 11-Nov-99, to lugnet.basic)

(...) There's another piece that is an interesting dark bluish purplish color. See the plate used for the vanity table top in #5805 Princess Rosaline's Room. Does that match any of the above? /Eric McCarthy/ (25 years ago, 11-Nov-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.promo, lugnet.basic)

Grimace is Violet, like DUPLO Dinos (was: Re: McDonalds Info)

(...) OK -- got it! It's not blue, and it's not purple, and it's not even indigo -- but in fact it's violet -- the same exact hue as the new DUPLO Dinosaur. :) Waycool!   Classic Christmas set?

I saw this at the KB Kids retail store near the office today, and was intrigued, to say the least. I feel ashamed that I did not note the set number, but it was priced at US$60 which was out of my spending range. Any input? -Cheese (25 years ago, 8-Nov-99, to lugnet.basic)

Re: The Best Basic Sets (725/730)

(...) Asher, I couldn't agree with you more on these two sets. They are two of my favorite town sets. The 730 had (until the recent introduction of the black slopes service pack) the only extensive assortment of black slopes that LEGO ever made. (...) (25 years ago, 6-Oct-99, to lugnet.basic)
