  Re: Whatup .basic

(...) Don't forget "Universal", which was what it was called when I got my first one of these sets. I agree the word "Basic" was more... well... Basic. :) Excluding the 4017 and 3033 (which I view more as Bulk supplements), I would say my favorite (...) (22 years ago, 11-Feb-03, to lugnet.basic)

Me again. I would also like to mention that I like the word "Basic" much more than "Freestyle","Classic", or "Creator". Anyone else have a preferred word? [ j o n ] -- | Lego - (URL) Shipyard - (URL) Moonbase - (URL) Store - (URL) (22 years ago, 11-Feb-03, to lugnet.basic)

  Whatup .basic

Alright folks, I'm ready to get down with some basic talk. Any of you have a favorite set? I can't think of mine at the moment but I'm going to go browse the database in a bit and try to dig up the name and number of some of my childhood favorites. (...) (22 years ago, 11-Feb-03, to lugnet.basic)

Dan & All, (...) the Blockade Runner, which I doubt Lars has in his stash of old LEGO items (It would be nice, though! ; ) ). Maybe the other part without the axle hole is the one he is looking for, since there are a few older sets that have that (...) (22 years ago, 19-Jun-02, to lugnet.town, lugnet.basic)

  Re: legends/re-releases

(...) Oh my yes... Both of them rock! To have known then what I know now. (of course I would also have been well served to invest in a few other things that were cheap in 1985, but I digress) (23 years ago, 2-May-02, to lugnet.basic, lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.town)

  Re: legends/re-releases

725 is an awesome basic set. Go look at it. It truly bore out the Lego promise of "just the right amount of special pieces to encourage special creations." It actually came with instructions for set-quality models. Notice how its pieces are (...) (23 years ago, 2-May-02, to lugnet.basic, lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.town)

  Re: legends/re-releases

(...) I agree these sets are some of the best basic sets that were put out. I would also like to add 720 to the line-up. Another good source for parts, including 2 white "warehouse" doors and 4 red door "runners" for the doors. All in all, very (...)
