One minor point. (and this might only be browser specific) The text you

I used plain ol’ FTX, including how the guide says to do alt text.

I suppose that’s why it didn’t show up as a caption (Ley). I wonder if it
automatically quotes alt text in replies instead of inserting the image?
Nik - in the future, you could put the alt text in the image tag, *and* repeat
it below the image for captions if you like. That would make sure that people
get to read the text, instead of just chancing on it by doing a mouseover.
