This is townscale Road Train. They use Road Trains in Australia since the
distances are so great there. Road trains usually have steered trailers to
cope with intersections at teh outskirts of cities.

You will notice that the second and third trailer will follow the first
trailer. This is accomplished by putting a technic mechanism inside the
trailers, the pictures show work in progress to allow you to see how it
works. The last file is a 2MB movie of it in action.
The only problem it sometimes has is traction, it can turn on the space a
standard road plate curve, but the wheels will slide on the slipery plastic
surface. It did best on the pooltable.
The mechanism can be adjusted by lifting up the trailer, the gears will then
separate and you can turn it freely. When you set it down the will interlock
again. The 3rd trailer has a little gear reduction since it was taking
corners too wide. Small alterations were made from the in progress pics to
the final version but nothing that changed how it works.
