Minifig Scale Issaquah Ferry —Wayne R. Hussey
Although this has been completed and shown publically (NWBrickCon Oct. 2002), I have just now gotten around to posting some of my pics of it. These show some of the details and the construction process. (URL) is seven feet long, two feet wide and (...) (22 years ago, 26-Mar-03, to lugnet.announce.moc) !!

Re: Minifig Scale Issaquah Ferry —David Koudys
(...) <snip> (...) Very sweet to look at. I loke how it looks like it's just made up of basic lieces, but still looks exceptionally good! Now get it to the water and see if it floats :) Nice job! Dave K (22 years ago, 26-Mar-03, to lugnet.build)

Re: Minifig Scale Issaquah Ferry —Adrian Drake
(...) Remarkable! I saw this thing on brickshelf a couple of days ago and wanted to post about it, but I figured I'd wait until you publicly announced it. The pictures of all the structural reinforcing that went into building this is quite (...) (22 years ago, 26-Mar-03, to lugnet.build)

Re: Minifig Scale Issaquah Ferry —Bruce Hietbrink
Very cool! I just wish I could have been at NWBrick to see it in person. My favorite details: These curving ramps built of stacked plates: (URL) insectoid leg as crane: (URL) kitchen: (URL) wall that's hinged to give a sloped shape: (URL) (22 years ago, 26-Mar-03, to lugnet.build)

Re: Minifig Scale Issaquah Ferry —Tobbe Arnesson
(...) The prop: (URL) Amazing! One thing I'd like to see is pics of is a lot of minifig action and cars and such! What does that thing weigh anyway? Well done! Best regards, /Tobbe (URL) SPAM when e-mailing) (22 years ago, 27-Mar-03, to lugnet.build)

Re: Minifig Scale Issaquah Ferry —Wayne R. Hussey
(...) I will be adding a bunch of figs and cars for when it goes on display at the Odyssey Maritime Discovery Center at Pier 66 in Seattle beginning next month. Unfortunately, I cannot show all the interior details - they hide too well once the (...) (22 years ago, 27-Mar-03, to lugnet.build)

Re: Minifig Scale Issaquah Ferry —Tony Hafner
(...) and it's nice to see it here now. The ferry is very impressive in both scale and design- you've captured the ship quite nicely. -- Tony Hafner www.hafhead.com (22 years ago, 26-Mar-03, to lugnet.build)

Re: Minifig Scale Issaquah Ferry —Ross Crawford
(...) I also noticed a similar phenomenon while building my bridge deck, and surprisingly, it didn't only bend downwards (URL) but sideways too! (URL) (22 years ago, 26-Mar-03, to lugnet.build)

Re: Minifig Scale Issaquah Ferry —Amy Hughes
(...) construction process, and you obviously did a lot of planning with this one. (...) It happens with bricks, too, and with 1x3x4 panels it's pretty extreme. A major bummer for some designs. This is something MLCAD doesn't prepare you for, and (...) (22 years ago, 27-Mar-03, to lugnet.build)

Re: Minifig Scale Issaquah Ferry —Wayne R. Hussey
(...) I know about the panels curling, because they aren't truly square, but I haven't had too much trouble with bricks. Hmmm. The curl is definitly related to larger plates. I ended up with many small (approx. 10x20 stud) sections on the Pilot (...) (22 years ago, 27-Mar-03, to lugnet.build)

Re: Minifig Scale Issaquah Ferry —Kevin Wilson
Wayne R Hussey wrote in message ... (...) This is the part which I find takes the most time and effort when turning an LDR file into decent instructions. LDAO has a "sort" function which helps a bit if the model has been entered at random, but (...) (22 years ago, 28-Mar-03, to lugnet.build)

Re: Minifig Scale Issaquah Ferry —Mark Rideout
(...) This is awesome to see (whether online or in your living room). I still think that we should have a Sealug meeting where we fill the ferry with minifigs and cars, and the such... kinda make a miniland scene out of it. Anyway, very cool to see. (...)         Re: Minifig Scale Issaquah Ferry —Clifton D. Chambers
(...) WOW, what a way to make a sailor's heart skip a beat. My son will be inspired by your model. Of course you know I will have to borrow (steal) a few of your design concepts for my ship model. :-) You have also helped me to understand that I (...) (22 years ago, 29-Mar-03, to lugnet.build)
