  Playing with scale

All: Well, after building some tiny NYC landmarks, I decided to make some tiny cars to go with them. Tiny cars: (URL) all about 2x4 studs.) I made models of some of the minifig-scale cars I have in my city. Namely: taxicabs, a police car, a bus, an (...) (21 years ago, 6-Jan-03, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build, lugnet.town) !!

  Re: Playing with scale

Hey. I had to look at the MTA bus first! * These are becoming "cartoon scale" - not really a scale at all, but a style. Still very bricky. I can't get over how the SW minis are so not bricky. -Erik (...) exactly from my home, to Target (College Pt), (...) (21 years ago, 6-Jan-03, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Playing with scale

(...) Yeah... I actually intentionally did that. To keep the "correct" scale, the cars would be 2x6, not 2x4. The shorter length makes them taller and "stubbier" somehow, and they remind me of the "Micro Machines" cars that my little brothers used (...) (21 years ago, 6-Jan-03, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Playing with scale

(...) The SW minis are tasty little parts packs - 80 pieces for $4, and half of them rare colors in basic usable parts. Not new pieces but rare ones. For example: orange 1x2 plates, dk.red and dk.blue 1x2 and 1x2 center stud tile (and some little (...) (21 years ago, 6-Jan-03, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Playing with scale

Sean, As much as I love your large scale stuff, in some ways I'm enjoying these small creations even more. I always like the creativity that micro scale building brings out. I like how you did the wheels. I'll have to try my hand at some micro cars. (...) (21 years ago, 6-Jan-03, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Playing with scale

(...) Yup, a 1962 Volkswagen Microbus. :) Modeled after my minifig-scale VW microbus ( (URL) ). I had the flowers sitting around on the floor near where I was building, and it just seemed a perfect match. :) They're attached by sticking their (...) (21 years ago, 6-Jan-03, to lugnet.build)

(...) <snip> The minifig might as well be King Kong to all those tiny vehicles. Outstanding, I've never given thought to doing something akin to this (I have a one-track mind, if you know what I mean) More power to ya! -Harvey (21 years ago, 7-Jan-03, to lugnet.build)

micro cars based on Sean Kenney's

Hi all, Inspired by Sean's design, last night I built these. Folder upon moderation: (URL) links: Fire truck: (URL) Sean, for the inspiration. These were fun. Bruce (21 years ago, 7-Jan-03, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build, lugnet.town)

Re: Playing with cranes ... uh scale

All cities have lots of cranes too! Look there goes one now! (URL) another one, rushing to it's next job! (URL) and look, there's one working! (...) (21 years ago, 14-Jan-03, to lugnet.build) !
