    New MOC: Nameplate —Nathan Sawaya
   My girlfriend asked me to make a nameplate for her niece; something that could be placed in her bedroom on a shelf or something. I came up with the following: (URL) my girlfriend's niece is named Rebecca. Just thought I'd share. -Nathan (22 years ago, 10-Sep-02, to lugnet.announce.moc) !

     Very nice! Question: How are the sides put together? It looks like there are just stacks of alternating green and white 2x2 bricks, but of course those would be seperate columns that wouldn't stick to the rest. Is there glue involved?      (...) Hey Bruce, Correct, the sides are a mix of 2x2 corner bricks, as well as 1x2 bricks and 1x1 bricks, all covering the internal bricks that keep the whole thing as one piece. Thanks for asking. -Nathan (22 years ago, 10-Sep-02, to lugnet.build.sculpture)
