My girlfriend asked me to make a nameplate for her niece; something that
could be placed in her bedroom on a shelf or something.  I came up with the
following:

Very nice! Question: How are the sides put together? It looks like there are just stacks of alternating green and white 2x2 bricks, but of course those would be seperate columns that wouldn't stick to the rest. Is there glue involved?
