Several months ago I built some LEGO SOMA puzzle cubes with six smooth sides.
Now it was time to build something to store the cubes in. I saw that a few years
ago Eric Harshbarger built a SOMA cube and nice storage box. Not wanting to just
copy Erics idea, I built three versions of a hollow 8x8x8 cube with smooth
sides and tops. All the storage cubes worked well, but I wanted something really
different. Then I realized the best box may not be a box at all:
I used Brams great program to make Lowell style spheres (thanks Bram, thanks
Bruce)

Then I just built the sphere in two halves and figured out a simple pedestal and
hinge arrangement. Naturally I had to use dark red, my favorite LEGO color.
Keep building!
