I posted this on .space this morning, but forgot to crosspost to .announce.moc.
On April 13, 1970, an oxygen tank exploded on the Apollo 13 service module,
which was on its way to the moon. The explosion blew the cover off the craft,
stirred its innards a bit, bled away all the reserve oxygen and most of the
power, and nearly kept the astronauts from returning to Earth alive.

| You've captured the look and the way the photo looks, too. One nit-pick - the rectangular object isn't orthogonal to the long axis of the SM, but parallel to it (extends forward). Nice work! James Wilson Dallas, TX (20 years ago, 14-Apr-05, to lugnet.space)

| (...) What I find interesting it that on April 12, 1961, was the day the first man went into Space (and April 12, 1981 was the first launch of the Space Shuttle) -Scott Lyttle (20 years ago, 14-Apr-05, to lugnet.space)
