  Log Cabin

(URL) Hello, all. It's been about three years since I last posted here. That's about the time I started making this cabin. However, I have since moved a couple times and changed careers so was never able to finish it. I always thought the log (...)   Re: Log Cabin

(...) Very nice! I particularly like the trees and the way you've blended the colours for the water. It shows a great use for all my palm tree leaves. I hadn't thought what to use them for, since I don't model tropical coastlines! This is one of the (...) (20 years ago, 22-Feb-05, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Log Cabin

(...) SNIP (...) What can one say? It's just awesome, especially in its size and color! No wonder I don't have too many trans-blue tiles. Like a real log cabin, it seems to need a little dusting, but that goes without saying. It seems to be a little (...) (20 years ago, 22-Feb-05, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Log Cabin

Thanks for the comments. In terms of the cabin's size, it's really not all that big in terms of scale. The downstairs has a small bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, dining area, living room and laundry/mud room. The upstairs has 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. (...)   Re: Log Cabin

(...) Cabin look great, however, if you can take shots without a flash, I think it would look even better. (...) (20 years ago, 22-Feb-05, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Log Cabin

(...) I am sure that it is not LEGAL to have that many flower stems to use for grass. And the amount of palm tree fronds and trans. blue peices you have must be a direct violation of a law somewhere. That aside, this is one of the most brilliantly (...) (20 years ago, 22-Feb-05, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Log Cabin

(...) Hi Jason! Nice work :) I like using the logs myself in buildings, makes a nice change to the flat bricks with the log look/feel :) I wish LEGO had more textured bricks (other than grill etc)... In your MOC, I like the cabin, trees and the (...) (20 years ago, 23-Feb-05, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Log Cabin

Wow. The insane amount of repeating parts you have makes for an awesome scene. It feels very Pacific Northwest. And the cabin is studs-sideways, to boot. The little pier at the end is very nice as well. I have to agree though, that it deserves some (...) (20 years ago, 23-Feb-05, to lugnet.town, FTX)

(...) For some reason I'm craving strong coffee and a slice of cherry pie. Darrell (20 years ago, 23-Feb-05, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Log Cabin

(...) Jason, That is beautiful. The lamps are a magnificent touch, and the grass is very neat. Now, what you need is either a little Lego Bruce Campbell or maybe a little Jason Voorhees. Okay, okay, maybe Bambi or something. Or maybe all of them, (...) (20 years ago, 25-Feb-05, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: Log Cabin

(...) Wow! I wish there were a "super-spotlight" option! Some of the features there are just great, like the lattice under the porch. No pics of the back side? Where in heck did you get all those flower stems from?? Some constructive criticism for (...) (20 years ago, 27-Feb-05, to lugnet.town)

  Re: Log Cabin

Thanks for the ideas, Kyle. You have some really good ideas in there. I especially like the idea for worn ground where water would fall from the roof. I wouldn't have thought of that. I wanted to put some fallen trees around, but they just didn't (...) (20 years ago, 27-Feb-05, to lugnet.town)
