Another in my “mechs-that-use-the-4X6-inverted-slope-as-a-canopy” series, the “Brawl”:

A medium mech at 45 tons, it supports variable load-outs of beam or ballistic weapons in the arms, plus a pair of small missile banks mounted on the legs. Trans-flouro orange sensor pods provided by the same supplier that outfitted Chris Maddison’s R.O.A.C.H.

Although I don’t build models of actual Mechwarrior mechs (like PrimusBus does, for example), I very much like to build in that style, particularly the more anime-type style from the MW4 PC games and the Mech Assault Xbox game. That means weapons pods for arms instead of hands, and a blocky, armored appearance. I like to think of this one as a mini “Loki”.

(...) -sinp- Well that is just cool. Of course using parts like that for the head is gonna get me pumped! Boxey, relative minifig scale, Keep going, this is good stuff. I dare ya. For some reason, I really like the feet, along with the head/pilot (...) (20 years ago, 5-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(...) Dude that rocks! You make some true bipedal weapons platforms. Take care, David. (20 years ago, 7-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(...) I'll ditto what everyone else said, but I'd also like to add that I'm digging the colour scheme. Ice Planet always looks too garish to me, but with grey replacing the white, and limited use of tr. fl. orange gives a very pleasing effect. Good (...)
