Hello all!

Here are some pictures of my newest creation! The Ghost Train (ooooh, cue scary
music). This train is built completely using clear elements (with the exception
of the wheels, motor, and other necessary train bits)! All of the parts are
"fairly" common, as the majority of the pieces were purchased at the Legoland
California Pick-A-Brick store. The rest were either from Bricklink or my own
collection. I got the idea at the at the SPLTC western layout at the Orange show
in San Bernadino this Memorial Day weekend. Looking at the trains I realized
that most of the parts that comprimise a train have been made in clear, so, the
idea for the Ghost train was born!

Here are some pictures on my Brickshelf folder here:

Here is a link to the SPLTC images of the Orange show itself:

All in all it was a great show, and all of the guys from the club did a great
job!

Also, I have added a folder to my brickshelf account featuring some of the work
I did at Legoland California while I worked there! That way you guys can see
some of the things you may have seen at the park, and know who built it!

And, as always, comments, questions, and complaints are always welcome!

Very clever, Bill. And well-executed. I had tried a similar experiment with clear bricks when I made "The Invisible Car" as a concept vehicle for the 2002 Ultimate LEGO Vehicle contest: (URL) ghost probably would have made a more appropriate driver, (...) (20 years ago, 5-Jun-04, to lugnet.build)

(...) Very neat, I made a Ghost Train in 2002 for a Train display but built it in white with a ghost driver and skeleton fireman. The train has appeared at 2 shows and kids really like it. At the last display we had it coming out of a tunnel on an (...) (20 years ago, 5-Jun-04, to lugnet.trains)

(...) When Wonder Woman parks her invisible jet to fight bad guys, how does she find it once she is done? Does anyone ever walk into it? Do her invisible jet engines also use invisible jet fuel? So many questions left unaswered. Scott (20 years ago, 5-Jun-04, to lugnet.build)
