    New Mecha —Allister McLaren
Well, I've finally finished and photographed the mecha foreshadowed by (URL) this image.> The legs got longer, the arms rebuilt from scratch, and the first head I made was ditched in favour of the current one (the original took a minifig, so I added (...)         Re: New Mecha —Eric Sophie
(...) Mate! This is too cool. I loved the "Prawn" and I was quite jealous! Now you intergrated your ideas and came up with this and its really neat. I like this picture alot: (URL) Overall its got merit. As with all Mecha, part of the challange is (...) (21 years ago, 17-Jun-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

         Re: New Mecha —Allister McLaren
(...) It was a bit of fun getting it into that pose :) (...) Especially if you can get them to do it in a cool pose :) I find that I can't bring myself to compromise on the range of motion in the joints, which unfortunately means that they also are (...)         Re: New Mecha —Mark Neumann
Pretty darn cool m'man. I thought the head really reminded me of a scene from Beattlegluse. Long skinny head with lots of teeth and the eyes on the inside. Looks like you got some good mobility out of it. The missle bays are well hidden, It didn't (...) (21 years ago, 19-Jun-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

         Re: New Mecha —Allister McLaren
(...) Hehe. I remember that one. Actually the 'eyes' are the trans red 1x1 rounds on the sides. The cone in the mouth are cannons with flame throwers just above them (the flame's so hot it's blue) (...) I like little features like this. Adrian's (...)         Re: New Mecha —Stuart Immonen
(...) Very, very cool. I thought this was one of the best things I've seen on Brickshelf in a long time. Lots of smooth, cool shapes, and super articulation-- simply fantastic! And you can't go wrong with red and black! Lots of hidden details, great (...) (21 years ago, 20-Jun-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

         Re: New Mecha —Allister McLaren
(...) You flatter me. But thanks. Your stuff has been a big inspiration for me. (...) I figure if I can emulate the range of motion on a human body as close as possible, I have the best chance of getting it to stand up, not to mention get all the (...)         Re: New Mecha —Dave Johann
(...) And what an IT it is! Nicely done Allister! Using the Zonic Strike parts works in your favor as well, as I haven't been able to work those into a design yet. I love the feet most of all. (...) Hmmm...have you tried...oh, wait. I can't reveal (...) (21 years ago, 24-Jun-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

        Re: New Mecha —Allister McLaren
(...) Thanks Dave. I'm really encouraged by the responses from the all mechmasters I've had. I procrastinated over getting the ZS for days, but I'm glad I did. The printed parts are nice and generic, and in red/black/silver :). They should get used (...) (21 years ago, 24-Jun-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
