It was a bit of fun getting it into that pose :)

Overall its got merit. As with all Mecha, part of the challange is
engineering it to stand. Most Mecha Models are inherently a little unstable,
but thats just cause the models arent alive. So if you get em to stand
long enough to shoot photos, your golden.
|
Especially if you can get them to do it in a cool pose :) I find that I cant
bring myself to compromise on the range of motion in the joints, which
unfortunately means that they also are more unstable.
I did discover that a couple of layers of paper between the ball and socket
helps stiffen up ball joints a lot, and that ankle joints need to be the
stiffest of all.

Whoa, the hands are a trip. The feet are especially cool.

Thanks. Im rather pleased with the hands as well. It still amazes me how much
potential there is within basic parts like hinge plates and tiles.

Nice job!
Now can we go back in time so I can steal the Prawn design?
|
But if you went back in time the prawn wouldnt exist and you wouldnt be able
to steal it. ;) Either way, steal away.
Thanks for the response

| (...) Mate! This is too cool. I loved the "Prawn" and I was quite jealous! Now you intergrated your ideas and came up with this and its really neat.
