New MOC: Banshee Bike —Bram Lambrecht
I was inspired by all the other turbocycles being posted, so I went ahead and built one. It's yellow-fast, about 18 studs long, 5 studs wide, and 6 bricks high. See it here: (URL) LMKWYT! --Bram Bram Lambrecht bram@cwru.edu www.bldesign.org (22 years ago, 10-Jan-02, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

Re: New MOC: Banshee Bike —Bruce Hietbrink
Hey, I really like how you did the wheels. Where does that piece come from? Bruce (22 years ago, 10-Jan-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

Re: New MOC: Banshee Bike —Gary Thomas
(...) Nice bike. I second that question - those round pieces would be very useful for some projects I'm working on. Later, Gary (22 years ago, 10-Jan-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

Re: New MOC: Banshee Bike —Bram Lambrecht
(...) Thanks! The wheels are from the intakes of the UCS X-Wing. The same piece (in yellow) is used as a propellor cowling on the Technic Search Sub. --Bram Bram Lambrecht bram@cwru.edu www.bldesign.org (22 years ago, 11-Jan-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

Re: New MOC: Banshee Bike —Steve Tanner
Is everyone getting affected by TRON or something with all these lightcycles? :) Wheels are sweet on this model. Nice job. (22 years ago, 10-Jan-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

Re: New MOC: Banshee Bike —Bram Lambrecht
(...) Well, with Adrian posting six per day, it's hard not to get inspired to build your own. And yes, this particular model is inspired by the light cycles, by a concept car from GM from about 10 years ago, and by wherever I've seen hubless wheels (...)          Re: New MOC: Banshee Bike —Adrian Drake
(...) Hehe, well, not quite that many, but I certainly have been prolific. I do love the design of this one. I never would've thought to use those pieces as wheels, and I've been thinking a LOT about bike wheels this past week :) Adrian -- (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jan-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

Re: New MOC: Banshee Bike —Tom Sciortino
Definitely a work of art! This belongs in the same galery as that Artist's Studio Retreat of yours. At first glance, I thought those wheels came from Photoshop ;) You really show the level that Lego can be raised to. ~ Tom - - - - - - - - - - - - - (...)           Re: New MOC: Banshee Bike —Bram Lambrecht
(...) Well, you'd probably have to go to Photoshop to make them any lower profile. Now if only I could make them turn... <plug>BTW, this is my second bike with wheels that don't turn. The other one (almost exactly the same size) is here: (URL) (...) (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jan-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

Re: New MOC: Banshee Bike —Bram Lambrecht
(...) Art? Wow, thanks Mark. You've got a knack for building these things yourself. --Bram Bram Lambrecht bram@cwru.edu www.bldesign.org (22 years ago, 11-Jan-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

"Bram Lambrecht" <bram@cwru.edu> wrote in message news:GpqpIG.n34@lugnet.com... (...) and (...) bricks (...) Uhh... this MOC's wheels can't turn, right? Or am I missing something about this round element? I dunno, there's something funny about (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jan-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

Re: New MOC: Banshee Bike —Alan Shutko
(...) Yeah, that's my block too. I have no problem with nearly anything on a LEGO model being non-functional, but wheels seem different somehow. I look at it, and the bike works for me, except for a nagging voice sputtering "But, but they don't (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jan-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

Re: New MOC: Banshee Bike —Steve Bliss
(...) Who says the 'wheels' have to rotate? It's a *future* bike. Those rings look like shaped-field anti-grav generators to me... :) Steve (22 years ago, 11-Jan-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

Re: New MOC: Banshee Bike —Tom Sciortino
     (...) Yep, those are definately anti-grav field coils... ~ Tom (22 years ago, 12-Jan-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

Re: New MOC: Banshee Bike —Bram Lambrecht
(...) Yah, I know. Usually I'm a stickler for turning wheels too, but I really wanted to make some hubless "rim-rider"[1] wheels. --Bram 1) After building this model, I decided to do a tiny bit of research on these kind of wheels. Here's one of the (...) (22 years ago, 11-Jan-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)
