(You can probably skip this if you don't read via the web...)
A copy of the entire 6745-message archive of the Handy Board mailing list --
going back approximately four years -- has just been injected into the
LUGNET newsserver as part of the two-way gateway between the mailing list
and the new lugnet.robotics.handyboard newsgroup.
Although it's super-neat see these exist now as real threads and real news
messages, a side-effect is that the recent-article lists on the LUGNET
homepage and LUGNET Robotics page seem a bit cuckoo -- if you click enough,
they'll show that several thousand messages were posted between 1 hour ago
and now, which, in a way, is true, but isn't really.
The cuckoo-ness will fade in a few days, since people don't tend to follow
the recent articles *too* far backward in time when they browse.
But if you do...take note:
From the LUGNET homepage, messages #57976 (7 hours ago) through #51232
(~4.5 years ago) are a single block of Handy Board messages. If you're
strolling through articles going backward in time and you suddenly hit a
block of "lugnet.robotics.handyboard" messages, you can skip over all of
them by jumping ahead (that is, backward) to here:
http://www.lugnet.com/?n=*51231,-20&v=b
which picks up at the last message posted (about 1 hour ago) before the
Handy Board messages were indexed into the system.
Similarly, if you're starting at the LUGNET Robotics homepage and you want
to skip over the Handy Board messages, you can jump to here:
http://www.lugnet.com/robotics/?n=*7456,-20&v=b
which picks up at the last Robotics message posted (about 4 hours ago)
before the Handy Board messages were indexed.
