BrickFest is fast approaching! I hope everyone is finishing those last minute MOCs for display and preparing for all the events! Speaking of events, we are pleased to announce a Timed Building Contest for the mecha room! Participants will be supplied with brick and have a limited amount of time to complete any number of mecha for judging. Participation is limited to those who preregister for the event and pay a $15 participation fee. Registering for the event can be done by contacting me by email, mecharoom@aulddragon.com, before August 5th.

Our other contest, the Timed Pose Contest, will be open to all individuals with a mecha MOC who have registered for the contest. To register, contact me via email, mecharoom@aulddragon.com, with your name and the name of your entry. We will also have registration for a limited time at BrickFest for last minute entries. Only one MOC per person is allowed.

I’d also like to remind everyone that if you wish to have your MOC cards preprinted, you’ll need to fill out the form on the BrickFest website by August 1st. If you haven’t done so, please hurry up so we can ensure space is available!

I look forward to seeing you all there!

Jeff Stembel, BF2005 Mecha Room Coordinator

Just wanted to send out a big word of thanks to Jeff for coordinating the Mecha room at Brickfest 2005! This was my first Lego event of any kind, and I was absolutely amazed at how cool it was. Jeff had the Mecha room set up with a video screen, (...) (19 years ago, 20-Aug-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
