  Another Technic Creation
 
Hi again folks, I've just put my latest creation online, a Technic figure scale small(ish) excavator. Greetings! Today, November 12, 2000, a milestone was reached in the short history (so far) of the Vancouver Lego Club. Today, after a couple months of painstaking planning (as can be attested by the number of posts recently), we debuted at the (...) (...) Good news. It turned out to be a bug in some of my own code. It was hard to find but easy to fix. Technical details follow. I was able to reproduce the symptoms of the problem by asking the webserver for a bogus URL that confused it, for (...) (24 years ago, 11-Nov-00, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.announce)

Lego.com has been updated with a new story contest, "Minifig Comic Adventures" Game, and "COMING SOON: Lego Comic Maker" or something like that.   Server freakage today
 
Twice today in the past two hours, the load average on the lugnet.com server has shot up to extremly high levels. Normal activity is between 0.5 and 2.0 or so during the day. We're pleased to announce that the Vancouver Lego Club will be taking part in "Trains 2000" on Nov 12th at the Cameron Recreation Centre in Burnaby, BC, Canada (9523 Cameron St) from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We'll be exhibiting a 16' x 6' lego train (...) As you may have noticed, the LUGNET newsserver stopped displaying new articles for approximately 90 minutes today. According to the server logs, there was an extremely abnormally high load average for several minutes around 10:00 EST, which seems to (...)   New Partsref is pure bliss
 
Steve Bliss has just completed a major facelift of the Partsref interface. I think the results are wonderful!
