Heads up- Film Contest at HoB

Jon Gilchrist and I are putting together an animation contest for House of
Bricks. While we’re still putting everything together, I wanted to give
everyone a heads-up of what can be expected so everyone can begin planning.
The contest will have 2 categories:
Musicals This is very open-ended. I want to leave it that way because there
are a lot of very creative people in the animation community. So intepret as
you please. You can do a music video, sing show-tunes, etc.
Science Fiction This is open ended as well. HoB is being held in conjuction
with 2BeCONtinued, a science fiction and fantasy event. Make fun of Star Trek,
plan a fleebnork attack, what have you!
There will be a 10 minute limit to how long films may be. Judging will be
simple; the people in attendance will vote thier favorite for each category.
Format will be announced soon. This contest is open to everyone; attendance
is not required.
Now is a great opportunity to let us know what you would like to happen for the
contest. We’re open to suggestions.
The formal announcement will be made soon. We’re looking forward to
submissions.

| For several reasons, the animation contest at HoB has been canceled. This was in part due to the low interest generated in this forum and also finding that the legal aspects would have to be stricter than we had originally envisioned. Its been (...) (20 years ago, 4-May-05, to lugnet.animation, FTX)
