I have the movie maker set & i think the camera isn't very good-it's ok for kids to play with, but for more serious animation attempts, try a better camera. I just got the Logitech Quickcam Pro 4000, which is a webcam, but with a much better image sensor & came with animating software. also, for sound effects it's easy enough to get a $10-$20 Cd of hundreds of sound effects from many music stores. The Lego Studio set does have a cool 'earthquake' breakaway baseplate, but i'm not sure it's worth buying the set just for pieces.
