Hi Franklin,
Prosumer open source or freeware options:
Virtualdub for basic video manipulation (i.e.
converting image sequences into video file)
Zwei Stein for video compositing (move over,
Premiere)
Jahshaka (working but Alpha) will be a combination of
the above and more, in real time
Getting to know them takes some time, but it is well worth it.
Freeware video codecs you might need:
Xvid high compression
huffyuv lossless compression

| OK, I finally figured out how to get POVRAY to generate all the snapshots ("frames") for an animated sequence. Unfortunately, I don't have any software tools to take these images and combine them into a GIF, PNG, or MPEG. What do I need to download (...) (21 years ago, 15-Feb-04, to lugnet.animation, lugnet.cad.ray)
