He also felt that TLG and S@H would be ramping up production and making
sure to have good stock for the holiday season.

Ah, so unlike last year, when they decided that the best time to shut down
production in Enfield and move everything to Mexico was just in time for the
holiday season (leaving many stores, including the Lego brand stores, fairly
bare of bricks during December)? :)

Yep:-).
Demand was also higher than previous years for sets too.
I should also point out that production for sets is a lot like printing -
theres a lot of lead time needed to get a set production run done. So what
seems obvious now in terms of stock depletion is in many ways unknown at time
of production, three or so months previous.
Getting another run done has to be fit in with the other runs going at any
given time too. So its not quite as easy to get sets out as it sounds.

This may be true, but they always managed to be top notch before. Now, with all
the changes to save money, they are slipping a little. Almost anytime I order
from S@H they have items backordered. If demand is higher than usual, they have
the money to fix their problems. If it is finding production time, they need to
go back to the older system that did keep up. Prior planning prevents p*** poor
performance. I also might note that I am still getting damaged goods. I have
been telling them and having them do pickups and exchanges for three months now.
I really think that they should get their box packers and handlers from places
other than the WWF. John P
