  Re: Your LEGO Dream Set?

Without a doubt I'd go for UCS scale aircraft (especially military planes). I love the work Lego did with the Wright flyer and the WWI aircraft, and I'd like to see other classic as well as modern designs from all over the world. I wouldn't be (...)   Re: Your LEGO Dream Set?

(...) I'd like to see a Star Wars Creatures Creator-style set. My favorite Creator/Designer sets are the amimal based models (4884 Wild Hunters, 4506 Deep Sea Predators, etc.). With LEGO ignoring some of the most popular monsters from Star Wars (no (...) (18 years ago, 28-Nov-06, to lugnet.ambassadors, FTX)

  Re: Your LEGO Dream Set?

I have heard rumor, and greatly hope it's true, but I'll post it anyway, in case it isn't but could be: Specialty buckets. Release a group of buckets with a brick selection aimed at a specific building style, and Idea Books with multiple possible (...) (18 years ago, 28-Nov-06, to lugnet.ambassadors, FTX)

  Re: Your LEGO Dream Set?

(...) Well, anything in the old colors would be a dream set... Personally, I'm also hoping for a UCS Millenium Falcon. I'd pay US$300 for it. But for something more realistic, how about various Town cars? Back in the 80s and 90s you had TV vans, (...) (18 years ago, 28-Nov-06, to lugnet.ambassadors, FTX)

  Re: Your LEGO Dream Set?

I have only one suggetsion. A bucket of natural colored bricks. Brown, tan, grey, sand green, etc. 1000 pieces, in a brightly colored bucket 24.95 In the vein of existing brick buckets it the artwork could show castles, animals, caves, trees, (...) unrealistic: Bring back castle (not that kk stuff). I would love anything old grey. realistic: A landscaping accessory pack, flowers, trees, plants in general. even more unrealistic: (...)   Re: Your LEGO Dream Set?

(...) Monorail! Please bring back Monorail! Include 1x4 tiles, not plates, for joining the tracks together, for a smoother finish. In addition to a set like the (URL) Airport Shuttle> or (URL) Futuron Monorail>, have a "bare bones" kit, consisting (...) (18 years ago, 28-Nov-06, to lugnet.ambassadors, FTX)

  Re: Your LEGO Dream Set?

(...) My gut reaction to this question was one word - "monorail!" But I imagine anything involving the design of new pieces (or re-design of obsolete parts) would fail the "profitable" test. So I guess I would like to see comprehensive, single-color (...) (18 years ago, 28-Nov-06, to lugnet.ambassadors, FTX)

Re: Is this group in the right place?

(...) I'm sure the ambassadors do do a lot of work. From this non-ambassador's perspective though, it all seems to go on behind the scenes. (...) I can only assure you that I do too. Improvement is one thing it certainly has a lot of potential for. (...) (18 years ago, 28-Nov-06, to lugnet.ambassadors, FTX)

  Re: Your LEGO Dream Set?

(...) snip (...) snip (...) mel has said it all for me and said it quite well, except for the price point. i'd be willing to pay a fair amount for new specialized pieces like this, anything that brings house and structure building to a new level.   Re: Your LEGO Dream Set?

(...) Funny...I thought it was MY dream set! grin Also, I'm not sure how WE're supposed to judge whether or not it would be profitable. I think I can still provide something that would work, though: a scale model of a real-world structure...Miniland (...) (18 years ago, 27-Nov-06, to lugnet.ambassadors, FTX)

  Re: Your LEGO Dream Set?

(...) **cut** While I have many ideas and many dreams, I shall share a few... For me alone, what appeals to me in regards to LEGO is, I like the colours and I like architecture, so combinding them both into one is pretty cool. I would love a tub or (...)   Re: Your LEGO Dream Set?

(...) Now there is a tough question! I think a Main Street-type set, but with more detail would be fantastic. Maybe with some shops, a bank, post office - these would really add some actual town buildings to all the police/fire/construction sets. (...) (18 years ago, 27-Nov-06, to lugnet.ambassadors, FTX)

  Re: Your LEGO Dream Set?

(...) As well as keeping the price down by using (theoretically) less-expensive plates vs. more-expensive bricks. If it's huge and costs $500, nobody will buy it, but if it's a regular-size globe like you see in schools, I can see that going for (...) (18 years ago, 27-Nov-06, to lugnet.ambassadors, FTX)
