Does anyone have any ideas as to why it's so difficult (nearly impossible) to
find set 5909? It's the set with the tan bi-plane with white wings and a little
jeep-truck thing. I've managed to collect every other adventurers' set from
1998 except this one. I have not been able to find it in any stores or even at
Lego SAH. Is this just because of where I live (Northeast USA)? Any help would
be greatly appreciated!

PS I noticed in the 1998 catalog that it's the only Adventurers' set with a
July 1 release date . . . does this have anything to do with it? Did TLG ever
actually release it?

| (...) little (...) I have it and it's a great set. I'm pretty sure it was just a 'limited edition' type thing. I saw it all at once at Walmarts & TRUs in MASS quantity (end caps stuffed with 'em) late last summer, then watched their numbers shrink (...) (25 years ago, 18-Nov-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

| (...) little (...) In the UK, this set was a Toys R Us exclusive set, one of the only such sets I can recall, apart from a Divers floating lab... | I think it was a 1998-only set. Here in Canada (I don't know about the US) it comes with a mummy-shaped lego carrying-case.
