hi guys, i've been reading lugnet for a long time now, but this is like my
first post. my favorite theme (besides sw) is adventurers, the desert ones. i
like the idea of dinosaurs, but tlg imo didn't execute it very well, same with
the amazon theme. i have all desert sets (minus the kabaya sets) plus the red
car and plane from the dino theme and the raft and zepplin from the jungle
theme. i made a few customs too, nothing big though, like johnny on a horse
with a little campfire, , and a raft modified from the shell (gasolise) one,
and a little
row boat with the baron and sam.
what i'd like to know is what is your favorite set, or vehicle, or just
something you like about the adventurers theme. or if you have any customs, id
like to see those. i saw that red triplane, that was really cool.
all i really did with my adventurers sets was make them look more
realistic, for example, the 5919... what was up with that?!? i really hated
the tilting sarcophagus cover personally, so i replaced it with a 16x16
baseplate and added a big-leaved palm tree on the side, 2 bushes in front, a
nicer temple type thing, and a spider web in the entrance. i also redid the
car.. i dont like the idea of a sarcophagus with an engine. did any of you do
anything like that? i would really like to know. anyway, sorry for blabing on
and on, maybe i shouldn't have waited so long to sign up (hehe). adios,
