I like plain text in courier (monospaced) because it lets you see ascii art
without distortion. However that need is very rare, and there's such an easy way
(view raw) to achieve it, in the rare cases where it is needed... so I agree
with David, can we have the smaller sans serif font back for plain text?

Maybe some other mechanism to show you that the post is FTX could be used if it
were important? A border? A little image (ala "FTX powered!" or something like
that) in the header somewhere?

It shouldn't be that hard just to apply a simple javascript code to change the
font.  Of course, you could redirect it to CGI script that sets a cookie,
etc.etc, but really all you would need to do was create a javascript code that
would swap a CSS file, so if you clicked on the 'Sans-Serif' button, the CSS
file would be switched from 'courier' to 'Times new roman'and the text in the
message would be changed.

With so many possible features, it looks like the user interface is gonna get
pretty complicated.  It would be cool if there was a 'control panel' of sorts
that sets a cookie with all your preferences in it.
