Thanks, it's quite useful, however it still requires a browser. The program
I use has a little popup once every hour with brief information (a bit like
the MSN messenger 'person X signed on' messager).

| (...) then perhaps you want to look at the avid.cgi interface, that powers the peeron ticker. Just look at the beginning of the lugnet.admin.nntp group to see much discussion about it. Dan (22 years ago, 24-Sep-02, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)
