It's probably some kind of record if you define the category narrowly enough
so nothing else qualifies. But it's not the largest thread ever, or even the
largest admin related thread, I don't think. (and that, I think, is a good sign)

I'm only peripherally a gamer, a bit older than the protaganists, and don't
get most of the Japanese cultural references. But boy do I love anime!!!
Long legs, huge eyes... talk about cute! (boys AND girls) And I always enjoy
seeing examples of excessive geeking worked for humor no matter the area of
geek. PLUS the art is phenomenally good for a web comic (and the state of
the art is improving too...). AND the artist lives in A-Squared (Ann Arbor,
MI) So I really like this strip so far.
In fact I've been "discovering" more and more web comics, there are a lot of
good ones out there. I just wish they were a little less "in joke" and
self/cross referential. Sluggy's still the best, though.
Other ones I like:
Sinfest(tm) (that one just kills me, it is SO funny, and 'nique is very cute)
Avalon(tm) (Gotta root for Joe & Celidh to click!... and no, Phoebe is NOT gay)
Bruno the Bandit(tm) (He's so *dumb*!)
Exploitation Now(tm) (Bimbo as heroine, cute 16 yr old mad scientists!)
Little Gamers(tm) (minimalist art, deadly cutting humor)
User Friendly(tm) (Getting a little dated but still good)
Other than Avalon, (and UF) most of these are NOT suitable for pre-teens and
below. (especially Exploitation Now!)
If you want to find these, go root on keenspot.com where many of them are
hosted. Keenspot is a site that hosts web comics, reducing the labor of the
artist to just getting the strip done instead of all the other site related
gorp. Cool idea!
FUT .off-topic.fun and feel free to start a new thread on web comics if you
want to talk more! The issue I have with them is that they are huge time
wasters, though.
Gee, maybe someone ought to do a web comic about a ficticious company that
makes plastic bricks and its relations with maniacal fans?? Nobody would get
it, though.
