There will always be gray areas and blurred lines. The only real way to
avoid them is to jump to one extreme or the other- ie: either one group
(.market.anything-goes) or a multiplicity of groups (.auction.ebay,
.auction.private, .sale.best-offer, .sale.fixed-price, etc etc ad.naseum)
If the object is to have things as clear as possible, then the first option
is the way to go (although I personally would probably drop .market from my
radar at that point). lugnet.market.foroffer & lugnet.market.wanted would
be sufficient under that scheme. However, bundling things like that,
although it makes the rules more clear-cut, also makes the noise-to-signal
go up (for anyone not interested in all* market traffic), which is against
the grain of Lugnet.
The other extreme is more appealing to the compartmentalized dork in me, but
would need more rules- which means more loopholes, more explaining, and more
confusion & mis-placed posts (innocent or otherwise). There's no easy answer.
