| (...) <WILD_SPECULATION> I'll bet you anything that OE (*cough* *cough* Microsoft *cough* :-) implements the 'NEWGROUPS' command in the NNTP protocol incorrectly, and in your case sent CMT instead of GMT for the time when querying what new groups (...) (20 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.admin.nntp)
