I just got home and turned OE back on to check for new messages and the
newsgroup popped up. I think it may have been a delay on your end Todd,
somehow.

| (...) <WILD_SPECULATION> I'll bet you anything that OE (*cough* *cough* Microsoft *cough* :-) implements the 'NEWGROUPS' command in the NNTP protocol incorrectly, and in your case sent CMT instead of GMT for the time when querying what new groups (...) (21 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.admin.nntp)
