follow the link to the bottom of the page and hit "Post it"

If your doing it from your e-mail, I don't think it works best like that or
gracefully on all systems.

me thinks.

Eric that's a great description of the process of posting and
authentication... (and any newbies reading should pay attention if they're
confused about how it works)

... but Tim's asking about why his posts break threading (they don't show up
threaded in properly, they always start new threads). Consensus seems to be
that the mailer he's using is breaking the replyto header, I think (Outlook
does as well). More specifically, Tim's seeking a different mailer to use.

In the past once the particular miscreant mailer was identified, Todd or
whoever added it to the list of mailers that are not allowed to post to
LUGNET(tm), forcing the user of that mailer to use a different mail program,
nntp, or the web interface to post.

Props to Tim for being a good citizen and trying to find a different mailer
even though his problem causing one isn't yet banned.

Tim, have you tried Eudora? That has an offline feature. It may be getting
long in the tooth these days though.

Or consider switching to an nntp based newsreader. Most modern newsreaders
have offline capability, they synch up the groups you're interested in when
you're online and let you post offline and synch your outgoing posts the
next time you're on line again.

fut to admin.nntp where this has been discussed.

Hope that helps and good luck! Thanks for trying to fix things!
