(...) I like the news view so I overrode my bookmark that used to point to www... to now point to news... Isn't that easier than using a cookie? At least for now. Certainly if we get to where non members can customize, maybe cookies are the way to (...) (26 years ago, 16-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

For example, you won't be able to (sometime probably within a week) be able to read news at www.lugnet.com anymore -- the only reason you still can now is just for backward compatibility and a gentle switchover. (...) Actually, there aren't two homepages. If you look at the icons at the top of the news site, one is called "Home" and goes to (URL) and the other is called "News" and goes to (URL). The former is the LUGNET homepage and the latter is the (...) (26 years ago, 16-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)
