I don't know if it does it but I was infected for a bit there, and who knows
what else that virus sent out and to whom.  So I would like to know if it's
possible to scan for and delete infected news and email posts?  Also, is
there the possibility of bouncing it back with a warning notice firmly
attached to it?

It's a moot issue -- the lugnet news server doesn't even accept posts in HTML
format in the first place.
