"Spontificus!"...?  How many puns can you roll into one word?  ;-,

I dunno - it never occured to me! I just made it up one day while playing civ
:)

It would be great to be able to keep track of posts and threads that you
always mean to followup, but lose track of?

I like this idea, but let's not limit it to LUGNET.  At least, let's not limit
it to LUGNET's markup language. Some might want, for example, to throw in a
Google search box -- it's just HTML.

I'm not sure that I fully understand - if I don't answer it this time, can you
explain further?

I just threw it up in FTX because that's the easiest way I have of making a
prototype. If you could click on a icon in a post to add it to your bookmarks
then it would require some custom code, which is more complex, but much nicer,
than users modifying FTX themselves!

There are other things that I didn't include like a 'remove' icon next to each
bookmarked message, but the point of the prototype was to fire other peoples
imaginations towards the possibilities, rather than supply a finished design.

I suppose I could just create a set of bookmarks on my own machine, but I use
many different machines, so that maintaining them all would be a pain!

Richard

(...) Oh I see, you're looking for a "bookmark wizard" for tracking LUGNET messages, right? That would be cool as well... Cheers, - jsproat (24 years ago, 6-Apr-00, to lugnet.admin.general)
