The reason it's rejecting articles posted to non-groups now is because people can misspell something -- and it's better to give them an immediate error message than to silently file the article in (...) (...) Hmm, maybe it should only be persnickety about group names if they match /^lugnet\./ The newsgroup-validation logic was added back when all the groups started with different prefixes (before the reanming to the lugnet.* hierarchy). --Todd (26 years ago, 26-Oct-98, to lugnet.admin.general)
