I think (hope) if you had been more explicit that pre-auction buy/trade
offers were what you were looking for, the posting would have been ok. I
sussed that that was your intent, but I also have communicated with you
before about lots which you were planning on auctioning. I just assumed
that because you had communicated to me off-line about the possibility
of a pre-auction deal, that that was what was intended here also, but
the text of your post doesn't really say that.
I guess the title does say that you were looking for buy/trade deals,
but I didn't actually notice that until just now (after writing the
above paragraph - originally as an e-mail and then deciding this should
be a news reply).
I would suggest a title which doesn't mention auction, and intro text
something like:
I am offering the following lots for purchase/trade
offers prior to putting them up on eBay:
This would make it quite clear that what you are looking for right now
is purchase/trade offers, but if they aren't forthcoming, you will be
auctioning the lots on eBay. You could even indicate when you will put
them up on eBay.
Just my thoughts.
