Hey, that looks like me!
Well, the X-Face header contains a highly compressed picture of the
author's face (in this case, mine). It's basically a 48x48 picture in
black and white only.
I dunno what kind of software you would grab to ba able to see the
face. Some newsreaders decompress them automatically, I guess, but I've
only used the Gnus newsreader so far.
