OK, so I got used to l.0-t.d being the big time sink of the day, and now
I miss it.  Come on guys, say something stu^h^h^h controversial.
OK, I'll start.  Let's see...
All homosexuals have the right to own nuclear weapons.
Libertarians have all the right answers and no clue how to accomplish anything.
perl sucks.
I'm your superior because I built a working DVD player from my left-over
technic elements.

I nominate this thread to be the longest threat on LUGNET.  So far, there
have been 305 messages to it in lugnet.off-topic.debate, and the
wide-ranging discussions included but were definitely *NOT* limited to:

o  the divine or perverse nature of Perl as a way of life;
o  the sacrilige which is Windows;
o  the distance Ed Boxer can hurl a microwave (to be fair, he didn't
indicate whether it was empty at the time);
o  the attack upon, and defense of, Libertarianism;
o  the theory behind keeping salaries secret;
o  gun control;
o  the responsibility of the government over those governed;
o  the hidden costs of health care;
o  the interpretation of the U.S. Constitution and the Federalist Papers;
o  tracking down the ISBN for a good copy of the same;
o  the hidden costs of education;
o  the ethereal quality of happiness;
o  the wisdom of smoking;
o  the hidden cost of free goods;
o  the consequences of swearing in public;
o  the true location of the Ozarks;
o  techniques for surgically removing spamcake from Tom's messages;
o  the wisdom behind not attempting a left-hand turn while driving in
Boston;
o  the wisdom behind not attempting to drive in Boston;
o  good drama on TV;
o  and Hitler was mentioned several times.

Plus, it had threatened to assimilate the following groups:

o  lugnet.off-topic.fun;
o  lugnet.off-topic.geek;
o  lugnet.off-topic.pun;
o  and now lugnet.admin.general.  :-,

Whew.

Cheers,
