No, I haven't...  Why, what happens?  Something really gross?

It's not gross.  It just doesn't return any hits (I guess those single
letters aren't indexed).

I can't
remember if single-letters are indexed or not (I think they're thrown out).
Anyway, the search indexer strips out anything that's not a-z.  Not great,
but it was one simple way to avoid indexing huge message-ID's, for one
thing.  Needs to be replaced with something better.

(...) Please index some of these characters. It is a real pain searching for "A-Wing", as it returns everything with the word "wing" in it. Last time I did this, I went through two or three pages without finding anything related to A-Wings. At that (...) (25 years ago, 14-Jul-99, to lugnet.admin.general)
