In an attempt to free up some disk space I had a clearout of my
Temporary Internet Files folder in Windows 98. I was shocked by the
number of unwanted cookies that various internet sites had dumped on my
machine (yeah, I know, I should have had higher security settings
for cookies).

Unfortunately in the process I seem to have removed my (badly wanted)
lugnet cookie. As a result I now get that screen asking me to identify
myself everytime I post. Is there any way to get a cookie back without
having to reregister from scratch?

Thanks!

Simon

(...) There's no way to get it back if you've wiped it, but you can just revisit the news-posting setup page and give the information again -- shouldn't take ya more than 1-2 minutes: (URL) (25 years ago, 13-Jul-99, to lugnet.admin.general)
