The lugnet.com server will be taken off-line for approximately two hours on Thursday, March 6, 2003 for a software and hardware upgrade. --> Going down at: 10:00AM EST (that's 10 o'clock a.m. New York time) <-- The outage may be as short as one hour in the best case or as long as several hours in the worst case. Web service is most likely to resume first, followed by NNTP connections and finally e-mail delivery. Please bear with us if portions of the system are down for an extended period. Thank you for your patience and understanding, and we apologize for the interruption in service.

(...) Update: The above upgrade was begun but not completed on Friday as planned. Downtime on Friday was on the order of 5 minutes for each of two reboots. Plan B, upgrading to a new and improved server box and transitioning everything (...) (22 years ago, 3-Feb-03, to lugnet.admin.general)
