About this Marg Ng spam. Last week I notified several email authorities as part of my routine spam cleanup. Within a few hours I got a personal message from a support guy at Hotmail agreeing that spamming was a violation of TOS and that Mark Ng's (...) (26 years ago, 8-Nov-00, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.general)

(...) you mean not subscribe by mail to a newsgroup-by-mail (which you currently can do), but only "subscribe" to specific threads? Interesting idea, and I can see where it would be useful...
