My primary e-mail address has been getting absolutely swamped with junk mail, and my e-mail quota has been filling up in the space of a couple hours. This is resulting in me losing e-mail, so I am switching to a new e-mail address that is less (...) (23 years ago, 22-Sep-03, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.people)

(...) An update: Although the above resulted in the server accepting new posts again, it was still running an excessively high load. The problem appears to have stemmed from someone in Toronto, Canada running a script which was making (and still (...) (23 years ago, 20-Sep-03, to lugnet.admin.nntp, lugnet.admin.general)

Due to what appears to be an excessively high load condition (more than 20 times normal) last night the news server stopped accepting NNTP connections and consequently also new messages (except for a few system-internal messages posted at midnight (...) (23 years ago, 20-Sep-03, to lugnet.admin.general)
